Hard-core remainers spend the vast majority of their time spouting vitriolic abuse at those who chose to leave the EU! Social Media is full of it. Friends unfollowing friends on Facebook, followers blocking followers on Twitter – the divide has become quite nasty, scary even!

No one could have predicted the post Brexit polarisation of Britain. Even diehard politicos have been disturbed by the resulting tribalism following the referendum of 23rd June 2016!

Since that remarkable day, those who voted to remain in the European Union have been found out! From AC Grayling to Gary Linaker, George Osborne to Harriet Harman – Not only have they been unable to name one of the several presidents of the EU, or identify a European Union directive that benefits the UK, but not one of their doomsday predictions has ever come close to being true. The wretched remoaners either cling to the slogan on the red bus, or insist the apocalypse hasn’t happened yet because Britain hasn’t left! Despite the fact all the Armageddon prophecies were supposed to happen the very day after the referendum!

The latest trend adopted by the Europhiles is soft Brexit, in other words, remaining in the EU hoping for a deal that will never be offered, in the vague hope that after a decade or so of procrastination, the British public will just forget about it all and we’ll just stay in by default!

But the horrifying thing is, this could easily happen. The article 50 negotiations are expected to take 2 years before a settlement with the EU is reached. That, my dear readers, is never going to happen!  Brussels has never concluded trade negotiations with another friendly country in 10 years, let alone 2! It must also be emphasised that the EU doesn’t look on the UK as a friendly country. Brussels is determined to punish the UK to deter any other member from contemplating the very idea of leaving the bloc. No former member can be seen to strike a better deal than the remaining member states.

After over 50 years, the European Union has never struck a bilateral trade deal with a major world economy. There are too many vested interests on agricultural policies for France and Spain, whilst German industrial car manufacturing giants won’t allow Japan, China or India a shred of their lucrative markets. Prominent leave voters are only too well aware of this as the Twitter thread below illustrates.

Take the BBC article above for example, highlighted by Twitter user @Alichat66 – and commented on by @SirTrevSkint – both I should add, are British expats living in Europe. Despite the misleading headline, not only has a free trade agreement (FTA) with Japan not been agreed, but after five years of stalemate between the two – principally because France, Germany and Italy have vetoed several articles, but the EU was happy to kick any further negotiations into the long grass.

Now comes the shocker! After Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential race, announcing to the world “America First” in essence, following a more inward looking, protectionist trade policy, and shunning the EU by walking away from the anti-American TTIP agreement, Brussels panicked. Britain was leaving the EU and so was the US! Suddenly Brussels needed to show the people of Europe that it was making successful trade deals with the world’s greatest economies. But, as Sir Trev Skint points out, after five years of procrastination and inflexibility towards Japan, suddenly they have become the EUs “new best buddy”!

A further 15 years are required to see through the trade “transition” – Brussels speak for chaotic EU infighting and member state self-serving protectionism! If their past record is anything to go by, the European Union will have excelled themselves to ink a trade deal with Japan within 20 years.

The UK will certainly not achieve anything like a bilateral trade deal with Brussels in 2 years. Better to go straight to the World Trade Organisation now and walk away from these unachievable on-going irreconcilable deliberations.

The United Kingdom can then freely sign bilateral free trade agreements with the US, China, Far East, the Commonwealth, South America and a hundred other dynamic world economies, allowing the diminishing EU member states to either implode, disintegrate or, as is most likely, come begging to us for a no-strings-attached free trade deal.

The primary duty of all governments is to protect the nation and its people. What it protects us from is rather vague. I pose the question; what constitutes a threat to our wellbeing, our national security, our culture and our very lives?

Clearly the government decides this. Therefore they can pick and choose whatever they decide to be responsible for. It goes without saying therefore, that, should they fail to protect us – and let’s face it, there is no more clear example than Monday’s tragic terror attack in Manchester – then the government and it’s liberal agencies try to shame anyone who doesn’t accept their “carry on regardless” directive by accusing those who demand action against the perpetrators as right wing extremists and racists! And yes, that even includes, traumatised parents.

From chief constables to the BBC, metro mayors and celebrity luvvies, we receive lecture after sickening lecture, warning us to refrain from any thoughts of disgust, fear or anger. We must go about our state sponsored lives and keep our mouths shut! Furthermore, we must fawn over our politically correct police and NHS operatives, who have taken time off from arresting people for posting offensive tweets, or striking for more pay and less working hours!

God forbid if any self respecting journalists or worthless pleb should ask the government why these tragedies occur. Or worse, demand to know why every terrorist attack is carried out by radical muslims who appear on national security danger lists around the civilised the world! juncker-hollande-merkel

Throughout my years of covering such inhumane acts of terrorism and depravity, never have I felt so impotent and devoid of creative nuances! I cannot summon a single elegant or cutting phrase to elevate this commentary! I’m simply worn down by the complacency and ineffectiveness of modern liberal governments, outsourcing their responsibilities to what I can only describe as media apologists and celebrity virtue signallers.

I have consequently concluded that due to years of enforced multiculturalism, diversity or uncontrolled third world immigration, lack of planning for infrastructure and expansion of public services, which causes as much anger and depravity for immigrants and the indigenous population in equal measure, we must firmly lay the blame for every future atrocious act of terror-related, depraved mass murder – whichever side of the political or religious spectrum it comes from – at the feet of our elected and unelected politicians and the European governments they form.

This weekend must rank as one of the worst for the Labour Party in the past 5 years.

The broadcasters have seized on press headlines attacking Ed Milibands leadership qualities (or lack of them) and further compounded his woes by quoting many of his detractors in his own party.

Claims that 50% Labour MPs have given up on the forthcoming General Election and instead are readying themselves for a bloody leadership battle after 7th May are credible.

All eyes are looking left, but at The Westminster Wing we see even larger problems looming for the Tories in the run-up to May’s elections.

On the BBCs Sunday Politics Show today, Secretary of State Sajid Javid gave a creditable performance despite Andrew Neil’s ‘Blue Nun’ fuelled aggressive questioning. Political editor of The Sun: Tom Newton Dunn tweeted..

Our own Sir Trev Skint went further:

But, there are only a handful of humble, Tory MPs possessed of the common touch. The vast majority are elitist,  narcissistic and conceited.

Ed Miliband’s bungling of Labour’s election campaign so far, aided by the Tory press, has given these presumptuous types a false sense of populism. It’s palpable, the British voting public will detect it very soon.

Ed Miliband could be in Downing Street through complacency

Yes David Cameron can point to improvements in the economy but, people are not feeling the benefits of these policies,  they take time to filter through.

Have the Tories peaked too soon thanks to Miliband’s ham-fisted,  self inflicted, atrocious start to his campaign? Could the voters turn in favour of the Labour underdogs if a large gap appears in the Tories popularity polling?

David Cameron needs to emulate Sajid Javid’s humble performances to reign-in his party’s over-confidence or there could be a dramitic turn in the polls, leading to Justine Thornton measuring up the curtains in Downing Street.

Grant Shapps (duty fall guy) did the usual round of media whipping boy on today’s political round-up. As Conservative Party Chairman he delighted in explaining the defection of UKIP MEP Amjad Bashir.

Tories are awful at defections

Tories are awful at defections

Shapps told Murnaghan (SkyNews) and Andrew Neil (BBC Sunday Politics) that Farage’s UKIP had manufactured certain anomalies with Bashir’s past, in an attempt to trash his reputation, after discovering he was about to defect to the Tories.

Shapps was asked if he had done due diligence prior to welcoming Bashir aboard? He insisted he and his party had! But now it looks like they were more interested in a defection story going their way, and not at all diligent!

Over at Breitbart they have more to say.

That awful Green Party interview by BBC Sunday Politics’ Andrew Neil!
